First Meeting
Your first meeting with J Co Constructions is all about getting to know you and your plans for your new home. We’ll chat about what you like, what you don’t like, how you live, and what you’re hoping to achieve. We’ll also discuss your block and current situation so we can provide the right guidance from the outset. We’ll finish the meeting with a clear understanding of your vision and the next steps required to move your project forward.

Preliminary Design + Quoting
Following your initial meeting, we’ll introduce you to a building designer, drafter or architect who best aligns with your vision and requirements. Throughout the design process, our team works closely with you and your chosen designer to ensure your home is both functional and tailored to the way you live.Once your plans have been finalised, our Builder, Joe McGuirk, will prepare and present a comprehensive fixed-price proposal in person. This gives you the opportunity to review every detail, ask questions, and make any adjustments before moving forward with confidence.

Selections
The selection process is where your vision starts to take shape. Our dedicated team, including our Sales and Design Consultant, will work with you to bring your ideas to life. With a strong passion for design and extensive knowledge of current trends, fixtures, and fittings, they ensure every choice aligns perfectly with your design brief and works seamlessly in your space.We’ll arrange meetings and if required, attend these with you and trusted suppliers to help select the fittings and finishes that best suit your style and needs. As a leading custom home builder on the Sunshine Coast, we provide a comprehensive J Co Constructions Selection Schedule, detailing all internal and external selections for your build. This ensures transparency and helps bring your dream home to life with precision and care.

Approvals Certification + Engineering
Here is where J Co Constructions guides you through the approvals process.Once your plans are finalised, selections are locked in, and your quote is accepted, we prepare everything behind the scenes to get your build ready. Our builder and site supervisor collaborate with engineers, truss manufacturers, and building certifiers to ensure every detail is meticulously planned before construction begins. This proactive approach helps ensure a seamless building process from start to finish.We partner with trusted local companies, leveraging long-standing relationships to secure optimal start timeframes and maintain consistency, setting the stage for your new Sunshine Coast custom home.

Construction
The construction process is one of the most exciting stages of building your custom home on the Sunshine Coast. Our Operations Manager works closely with the builder to ensure your project is smooth, efficient, and stress-free. You’ll receive weekly on-site updates and clear communication to keep you informed as your dream home takes shape.After the frame is complete, we’ll organise an on-site walkthrough to finalise important details, such as electrical and plumbing positioning. This step helps you visualise your new space and ensures you feel confident every step of the way.Once construction is complete, J Co Constructions coordinates a professional builder’s clean before unveiling your custom-built Sunshine Coast home, ready for handover.

Congratulations, your custom home build is now complete! At J Co Constructions, we love celebrating handovers by presenting you with a special gift to enjoy in your new home.
